    A film about the hidden world of insects, the tiny heroes that keep life on our planet running. Guardians of the Microcosm explores the many unexpected ways humanity depends on insects. It shows not only their beauty and the ways they make our planet livable, but also how our behavior is causing dramatic declines in their numbers, and what we must do to avert catastrophe.

    Arctic: Our Frozen Planet

    IMAX documentary (2023)

    Feature film for IMAX and giant screen cinemas narrated by Benedict Cumberbatch. Arctic: Our Frozen Planet is a 3D adventure across the magical realm of snow and ice at the top of our planet. For millennia, its steady seasons have allowed life to thrive. But global warming is upsetting this balance, and scientists are discovering that what happens here, affects us all.

    The New Wilderness

    At the heart of one of the most densely populated areas of Europe, where humans have shaped every square meter of land, lie the Oostvaardersplassen — a unique experiment in letting nature run its course. In just 40 years, 6,000 hectares of newly formed Dutch polder have turned into one of Europe’s most dynamic and productive wetlands. The New Wilderness charts the cycle of life in the natural area over four seasons.

    Station of the Butterflies

    TV documentary (2023)

    Basel’s old railway yard, built in 1913, was abandoned in 1990 and has since turned into a rare biodiversity hotspot. Now it’s marked for development into a major cargo hub and its future is uncertain. What should become of the old rail yard? Station of the Butterflies explores how a society responds when major industrial interests collide with a threatened natural habitat.

    The most ambitious natural history landmark series ever undertaken by the BBC. Nearly two decades since the original series of Planet Earth aired, it shows how science and technology has advanced, but also how our planet has changed. Journeying to the far reaches of our planet, the series narrated by David Attenborough tells extraordinary stories that are dramatic, thrilling, funny and sometimes heart-breaking, but always full of hope.

    National Geographic series produced by Wildstar Films for Disney. Queens explores female power in the natural world. The series features ten incredible animal societies where females reign supreme. These queens are sisters, single mothers, grandmothers. Queens tells their stories of resilience, strength, love and loss for the first time and challenges conventional wisdom about the role of females and males in nature.
